What is the monthly commitment and what does it include?

Memberships to SUNRISE are $33/ monthly. They include on-demand access to 100+ hours of yoga classes, mediations, and manifestations.

What if I need to take a month off for some reason? Can I pause my membership?

Of course! Once you set up your account, you’ll have control to cancel and pause whenever you need to. Keep in mind that your instructor Jane is not responsible for updating or pausing your account.

I’ve NEVER practiced yoga - is this the right place for me?

ABSOLUTELY! Here in the SUNRISE community we welcome beginner yogis with open arms.

Once you become a member, you’ll be directed to a special Beginner Bundle to help you ease into the practices of asana, pranayama, meditation— even journaling, if you’d like.

After you get the hang of things, you’ll have an entire YEAR of twice weekly full-body asana classes to take you from beginner to strong yogi with 52 weeks of supported practice.

Why is this better than doing yoga on YouTube?

GREAT question! First off, your YouTube yoga teacher does not know who you are. They don’t see you practicing and therefore, they can’t cater to your specific needs. They are teaching to the masses— and we’re very grateful for them!. But this community is for people who actually want a yoga teacher to connect with, who cares about them and curates content specifically for the needs of the actual students.

You can be confident that you are getting the most in-depth teachings on yoga here in SUNRISE.  I even take your education off the mat with mini lessons on spirituality, energy work and of course, Vedic wisdom.

Why is this better than going to an in-person studio?

I will never say that online yoga is BETTER than in-person, but I will argue why it’s so special to cultivate a HOME practice.

In 2020, we learned the importance of cultivating a strong at-home yoga practice and through this need, SUNRISE was born.

There’s something so special and empowering about creating your own yoga space at home and following the rhythm of your own schedule for when you want to practice and what kind of practice YOU need.

Also, it’s worth mentioning that when you are practicing alone instead of in a group - you are much more focused on your own body, your own practice. To many, it can feel like such a relief to be in the comfort of your own home while you work on cultivating your yoga practice. We live for at-home yoga!

This program is for anyone who gets uncomfortable in crowded classes and doesn’t like the feeling that others may be watching. No one is watching you here :) You are safe with us!

And for those nomadic souls who are wandering the earth… that is no reason not to have a solid and consistent yoga practice! You can take SUNRISE with you wherever you go in the world - just like I take you guys with me on my travels.

I think it’s comforting to know that no matter where you are, a guided meditation or a cozy yin class with me is always at your fingertips!

Do I have to film my practice and post it on IG?

Absolutely not! I like to invite my students to record or timelapse their practices so that YOU can start watching your own body bending and moving and getting into proper form.

If you share it to your story and tag me - I’ll see it and I can give you critiques and also cheer you on :)

You can also use these videos to send to me and ask me specific questions about your form and anatomy.

While no one is forced to record their practice, I invite you to give it a try and see what you discover about yourself!

Meet your instructor

Jane went to her first yoga class — Kid's Yoga — at a local gym when she was just eight years old.

She carried the practice of asana yoga through her life and got more serious about yoga & meditation as healing modalities during her college years.

Jane began studying the history of hatha yoga, exploring kundalini meditation and eventually finding her place in a Tibetan Buddhist lineage of practitioners.

After years of casually teaching asana yoga, in 2019 Jane completed a rigorous 30 day 200-hr yoga teacher training at Vikasa Academy in Ko Samui, Thailand with teacher Kosta Miachin.

This training was physically, mentally and emotionally challenging in a way that changed Jane's perspective around yoga completely.

Jane came home from Thailand (and a few trips to study in Nepal) with an understanding that she was raised in a "western" yoga world that wasn't particularly well-rooted in tradition.

She now carries the responsibility of teaching yoga in the most authentic and intentional way possible. Yoga is not a work out. Yoga is an energy mastery practice.

Jane brings her background in Buddhism, knowledge in vedic philosophy and mastery in reiki and healing arts into every class.

What is Asana? (आसन āsana)

In Sanskrit, Asana means seat or posture.

आसन (āsana)

In the west, when we refer to Yoga, we are usually referring to the asana practice of yoga: focusing on postures as a meditative practice.

This is why when I teach my yoga classes, I simply call them asana.

Asana practices may help us gain strength and improve flexibility. This ritualized body-connection may also uplift our spirits, sweeten our moods and improve how we relate with our bodies.

My asana classes are not work outs.
I teach asana as energy work.

But be warned - you still might break a sweat!

What is Prana + Meditation?

In Sanskrit, Prana means energy. Pranayama means energy stretching.

प्राणायाम (prāṇāyāma)

A holistic yoga practice should include asana, pranayama and meditation.

My Prana+Meditation classes help you connect with the energetic body through breathwork, meditation and journaling prompts to make your mornings MAGICAL.

A deeper sense of self and spirituality may arise from taking these classes.
